Thank you for the update. I have been walking Camino Frances for two weeks, now in Carrion de los Condes, and have to admit that overall I really feel safe. People follow sanitary recommendations, wear masks, etc. My only recommendation to fellow walkers would be to avoid crowded plazas on Saturday nights.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks for the update @ivar ! My husband @jungleboy and I are in Santiago now, having just walked the CP from our home in Lisbon.

This was the Camino that made the most sense for us this year, since we could start just by walking out our door, without needing to fly anywhere, and we would be in Portugal for most of the walk, where case numbers are low and we are covered by the national healthcare system.

It was of course different from our past Caminos, but we are very grateful that we were able to complete the walk in these strange times. I hope the many local business owners who depend on pilgrims are able to survive this difficult period.

I have just found out about you...
My wife and I are starting the Camino this coming saturday and were hoping for some sort of guidance and this came in well handed ♡
Thank you for sharing the information and the love
Hope to see you around xx

Hi Ivar, Thanks for your update. Just wondering if Albergues expecting pilgrims to be wearing masks, gloves, and should we bring our own hand sanitizer?

In the albergues you should wear masks... I am sure they have hand sanitisers there for you, but you can get masks and hand sanitiser at any pharmacy.
