A one week walk - which camino, or part of, should I choose?

I´m a 41 yo female who wants to do a pilgrim walk in the beginning of june. Have found lots of info on the internet about the different walks but need some advice. First; Which walk/part of walk should I choose? I like to spend 5-8 days, reasonable fit and enjoy nice views. Second; I prefer not to plan so much in advance but how is it with accommodation in june, do I need to book ahead (how long in advance, costs)? Third: What is the weather like in June?

Thanks!

Catarina, Sweden

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

the nicest part for me was in Galacia - if you are reasonably fit and have a week, I would plan back from Santiago by how far you think you can walk daily - I think a good distance on average is 20kms daily - perhaps beginning somewhere near O Cebreiro or Samos? Both are lovely towns to set out from and views from O Cebreiro are wonderful. good luck & buen camino, Jane :)

We only had a week to walk and figured we would do it from SJPDP and just go until we were out of time. The mountain walking was tough for us flatlanders but it was a great time, sore feet and all. We spent an extra day in Pamplona and ate very well :D

If reaching Santiago and earning the Compostela is important then you have a choice. You have to walk the last 100km to Santiago from any direction.

You could walk any one of these routes, starting at:

Ferrol - 115km Camino Ingles

Lugo - 101km Camino Norte

Sarria - 114km Camino Frances

Tui - 117km Portuguese Caminho

Ourense - 108 Silver Way

or: Muxia/Fisterra - 116km Fistera Way
