We finished walking the Camino Frances 3 days ago and like you all say : its a life changing journey.
Firstly I'd like to say a big thankyou to Ivar and all of you here for the information, support, laughs and stories that helped to make our time such a success.
To top it all off we attended mass today and, although we are not catholic, it seemed a fitting way to end this journey. We did not expect to see the botofumaria it swung today but were again blessed to witness this.
Thank you all who spend the time to answer questions, reassure us, congratulate us and bless us. I feel very humble to have had this experience.

I hope that in some small way I can help some else 'walk their own Camino'.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

@Jen Fawkes Qantas will be flying Perth to London direct in 17 hours, as from next March. With plans for similar flights from the Eastern seaboard.

Kanga, maybe we Aussies are the only ones to appreciate what an amazing achievement that is. But, sorry Qantas, I'll still opt for the 20 hour flight to Madrid via the Middle East.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I know exactly what you mean regarding cost to get to Spain to do a Camino, we here in South Africa find it very expensive to travel to Europe (or anywhere else) with our currency depreciating all the time.
I do not mind the long flight of approximately 14 hours from Cape Town to Madrid via Johannesburg with Emirates, after all it is worth it, then to wherever you are starting from, but oh to get to a pocket-friendly budget, but I keep on hoping that I can do another Camino one day.
