Almost on my Way

I fly out in a couple of hours to Pamplona via Madrid, and I start walking on Monday. Kind of nervous. What if no one wants to talk to me? What if too many people want to talk to me? What if I am bringing all the wrong things? What if I can't find a place to sleep one night?

I don't know if I am going to have the energy or desire to keep blogging while I walk, but I did write this today:

It (mostly) disappears once you start walking.

What if no one wants to talk to me?

Will not happen. A smile and "Buen Camino" will send new likeminded friends straight into your arms.

What if too many people want to talk to me?

Will not happen. You decide. Walk faster or slower than them.

What if I am bringing all the wrong things?

Will not happen. Throw them out and buy what you need. Spain has all you need, at a better price than home.

What if I can't find a place to sleep one night?

Will not happen. At worst, sleep on a bench/church steps. It never happened to me in +10 years. I always found a bed, no matter what season. Relax.
