So, if I start walking backwards from Santiago in Feb, I will need an umbrella and a stick. I am sure I saw a China Store in the old town somewhere. Could someone please remind me exactly where it is so I can buy a cheap umbrella? And where’s the best place to pick up a stick? At the Pilgrim House? (That’s where I left mine on a previous camino.) Thanks!
Jill

The best place to acquire a stick, is in the garden of the Camino office where pilgrims get their compostellas. There is a box where pilgrims can leave their staffs, and you can choose one which suits you. It is a great pleasure to choose one which already has the prestige of making its way to Santiago.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Hi Jill,
I'm in Santiago now and @SYates has offered you a stick.
A Chinese bazaar is located in the old town on Rúa da Caldeireria (extensión Rúa das Orfas).
Saludos

Thank you so much! I’ll pm SY when I have bought my flights and I know my arrival date.

Great! I will be going there to get a sello, so if SY is not at home I can pick up a stick there too.

Hi Jill,
In February Pilgrim House will still be closed for the winter, but if you need something just let me know!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
If you still don't have a stick head over to the Pilgrim House, Rua Nova #19. they usually have all manner of Camino gear in their donativo.

But, the Pilgrim Office idea is a very good one, as is SYates...
