May 2023: Via Francigena, Lucca to Rome
Hot off the presses! I've been seeing articles in the Italian papers like this one in intoscana: A cavallo sulla via Francigena con Andrea Bocelli: una noava docu-serie su Paramount+ (On horseback along the Via Francigena with Andrea Bocelli, a new series on Paramount+). According to the article, he and his wife take a "viaggio slow" from Rome to the village where he was born, Lajatico, near Pisa.

It opens in theaters in the US in April as The Journey, A Musical Special from Andrea Bocelli.

Interestingly, the American press release doesn't even mention the Via in their opening paragraph:

"Combining world-class musical performances with intimate conversations across the awe-inspiring Italian countryside, THE JOURNEY: A Music Special from Andrea Bocelli is an exploration of the moments that define us, the songs that inspire us, and the relationships that connect us to what matters most."

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you. I have wanted to go to a concert, but the tickets here in the US are prohibitively expensive. We will be traveling the weekend of the show and will be near a theater that will be showing this. Looking forward to seeing this. Thanks again for the info.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Update: I walked out after twenty minutes. This was a a christian-music video with lots of drone shots of the Tuscan landscape. The dialogue was insipid and the music mediocre. It had nothing to do with pilgrimages.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Has anyone got information on the hospice (not the auberge) a Great Saint Bernard Pass? I've read their website, and I'd appreciate insights as to how comfortable it is, quality of the food, etc...
Due to length restraints, I’ve had to to split the story into two posts. I find it no longer ‘flows’. I suggest reading Part 1 again, link below, before reading Part 2. Regards Gerard Part 1 link...
