My son is going May 28
My son is taking the "fast train" from Madrid to Pamplona. It takes 3 hours. There are a couple stops listed along the way. Does anyone know if he has to change trains at the stops or just remain on the train?

Some trains go from Madrid to Pamplona. Some go from Madrid to Barcelona and require a transfer at Zaragosa.

Some trains continue from Pamplona to Irun/Hendaye ... which might be important to know because the destination board might not state Pamplona ... and you have to get off before the train continues.

The ticket will state if there is a transfer. So will the itinerary on the Renfe website.

I started out from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on 1 May. It turned out to be an unforgetable day. Above 1,000 m or so it snowed, catching many people unprepared. Later that day "many" walkers were...
And another attempt looms, to buy a decent Poncho after trying and failing in the previous two likely towns. Anyone know where an Altos or similar might be bought in Leon, please? 😁
