Beach options/ suggestions

Hi any suggestions of places to go once we have finished our walk - we plan to spend a day or two in santiago but then would like to take some timeout at a beach - anyone know of a nice beach in the area. We will be flying out from santiago so don't want to go too far afield.

The beach at Fisterra is lovely so you can get some well earned beach R & R (and there is nothing as therapeutic as that first swim :lol: ) and also see the sun setting at end of 'the know world'-along with other pilgrims. The coastline up to Muxia is meant to be gorgeous to- so you're spoilt for choice.

No shortage of beaches within easy reach of Santiago - ask at the Tourist Office in Rua do Vilar and they will give you all the information you need - a popular beach within easy reach is at http://www.agalicia.com/vilagarciadearousa/ - 30 mins by direct train from Santiago

There are also nice beaches in A Corunna which have the added advantage of being easily accessible from SdC and also have plenty of accommodation nearby.
