Upon completion of the CF my wife and I want to visit Fatima. Trains from Santiago to Lisbon requires many changes and takes a longer time. I looked at flights from Santiago but there were no direct flights to Lisbon but only after flying to Madrid for a connecting flight. Any better suggestions? Are there direct flights from la Coruña to Lisbon? If so how far is Santiago tó la Coruña? Thank you, Perigrinos

There are direct flights from La Coruna to Lisbon. It's just a short hop. When we traveled that route, we opted for a tax from Santiago. As I remember it wasn't cheap ($100) but it was comfortable and the flight we had was very early in the morning so the bus option was not a possibility. That was a few years ago and there may be better options now but at least you have one that I'm pretty sure will fit your need but maybe not your budget. As others have pointed out, there is an ALSA bus. I just checked and it leaves around noon and takes about 9 hours and say 50-60E. Definitely an option as well if your budget conscious. BTW, if you haven't been to Lisbon it's worth a side trip as well. Some of the local towns nearby (particularly Sintra) are nice.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

We bussed to Porto and stayed 2 days, then to Fatima and later to Lisbon. It was a short walk to the Center of Fatima from the bus station. Easy peasy. We took a taxi in Santiago to the bus station. It was uphill and I was so done with climbing!
