HI all ,
I arrive in Biarritz on saturday the 23rd of March at 4pm.
I will hopefully walk from St Jean but should the weather be bad I will change and go from Pamplona.
I'd be most grateful if anyone in the know could help me with the details of getting to both places.
Thanks in advance.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Rain Saturday and Sunday, but the snow line is 1500 to 2100 meters, so mud will be your biggest problem.

Buen camino!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi Scubajunky,

Myself, my girlfriend (Irish) and forum member Fanguellos (Danish) will be arriving to Biarritz next Saturday at 4pm on the London Stansted flight.

We are interested in getting a taxi to St Jean as we would arrive there before 17:30, with time to get some provisions in for the following day, relax, etc. Our albergue has a curfew of 22:00, so that doesn't leave so much time for chilling out. My girlfriend and I are interested in exploring the town a little, and maybe having a fancy meal before we set off on our Camino.

Fanguellos's post is here:

Otherwise you get a bus to Bayonne and then a train to St Jean, arriving at 19:30. The train costs €19.20 per person. We got a quote of €110 for a taxi - around €8 extra compared to the train, to arrive 2 hours earlier. If you're interested in joining us, please let me know.

I think the weather is warming up and hopefully the snow on the route Napoleon from St Jean will have melted by Sunday. Otherwise the Valcarlos route is open.
