My husband and I are hoping to walk/bike the Camino de Santiago next May. Having never been there I wanted to know if anyone had combined the trail with walking and biking? If so, what is a good company to use to hire the bikes from? And what is your suggested route? Thanks

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Answer to your questions

1. Yes
2. Bike Iberia will deliver to a hotel with 24 hour desk (so it can be delivered)
3. Eurovelo 3 - the Pilgrims's Route. Tracks the walking route but has its own cycle specific variations

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Key thing to keep in mind is not to overdo it - which applies to both walking and cycling. If you are starting from SJPP, then its a tough first day.

The Burgos to Leon section (meseta) is flatter and less busy. Ideal cycling section.

Sarria onwards to Santiago is very busy with walkers and you'll need to keep off their path, if only to make sensible progress.

If you intend to stay in Albergues, some make the cycling Bicigrinos wait before they can book a bed/room to give the walkers an equal chance at accommodation.

Here is a gps track to give you an idea of the climbs along the way. Nothing too difficult in reality.

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
