Time of past OR future Camino
spring/summer (2015)
After a couple of years I have finally committed to this journey. I don't really understand, but I feel called to do this. It is hard to explain being thius excited about something I don't fully understand. From USA May 7th, I arrive Paris on May 8th AM then fly Biarritz and train to SJPdP. Should begin May 9th and hope to meet many of you on the way to Santiago. And thank you to past perigrinos for your posts, very helpful. ~ Buen camino...

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi Bill - I know what you mean by calling :)
For a year or so, I have been considering a way (!) of celebrating my 50th birthday. A few week ago it came to me.....the Camino de Santiago. I aim to arrive in Santiago de Compostella on May 28th - my birthday.
It absolutely feels like the right thing to be doing :)

Buen Camino

Hi Bill,
Just a thought, but you probably won't be arriving in SJPDP till evening. I would spend the 9th in St. Jean and begin walking on the 10th, especially if you are going over the Pyrennese in one day. St Jean is a beautiful village and the extra day will get you over a little jet lag and give you time to pick up any last minute items you might need.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thank you. something I may consider.

That's a what I'm doing.
Are you flying Easy Jet out of Charles de Gaulle to Biarritz? I should arrive 12:20 on the 8th and hoping to catch train or bus to SJPdP.
I hope all goes well for you, little complicated getting there. Buen Camino

Thanks! My flight gets into Paris at 12:55 pm, leaving me with little time to get the train to Bayonne that day so, yes, Easy Jet to Biarritz, unless the impending strike cancels the flight. Then I regroup, spend a night in Paris, train to Biarritz, and Express Bourricot to SJPP, only a day later. Hopefully, I can stick with my original plan, but it's good to have a back-up!

My current date to begin walking is May 1.
