Time of past OR future Camino
April (2020)
Is there any need to purchase train tickets from Paris to SJPP in advance? I would like to stay as flexible as possible.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Generally there no absolute necessity to purchase ahead but you might feel more relaxed during heavy travel times knowing that you do have a reserved seat. You noted in an earlier post that you will arrive April 15 which is after Easter. However that will be a busy time for travel in general; Easter is often considred the start of "the season". Further busy times in Spain will be May 1, Labor Day, which is celebrated throughout Europe.
Be prepared and Buen camino!

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
