hello my wife I and need to get from Santiago de Compostella airport to Tui on Thursday 19th May. Our flight arrives in Santiago at 15.35. Does anyone know of the best way to get to Tui / Valenca is this by bus or train and what are the departure times? Also, can we get our Pilgrim Passports in Tui? Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi Mike,

I'm afraid I can't give you advice on Bus or Pilgim passport but with regards train there are potentially two on 19th May, leaving from Santiago Station to Vigo at 16:29 & 17:36 respectively, which can get you to the connecting train from Vigo to Tui which departs at 19:37 (arrives Tui 20:22).

If flight arrives at 15:35 then the 17:36 is probably the most viable option but if you are willing to get a taxi from Santiago airport to the Railway Station you may just make the 16:29.

Use http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/index.html to search the timetable. Use the "Find all Stations" button to search the Vigo - Tui sector. The 19:37 train continues into Portugal and on to Porto so if you are intending to start in Valenca you can stay on for one further stop and cross the border on the train.
