Camino end of June

Hi, I'm from the Yukon(northern Canada) and I'm starting the Camino at the end of June, planning to take about a month. I'm wondering if it will be very hot and crowded? I know there is a big celebration July 25 in Santiago. Any suggestions?

Hi - welcome to the forum. Starting at the end of June it will be hot but I don't think intolerable. You will miss the 25th July Feast day in Santiago and also the peak in numbers but Jly?August are the busiest months - all you can do is go with the flow...part of the experience!

Tks for the info. I'm good with going with the flow. I was thinking that I would be in Santiago for 25th of July. Would it be better to get their earlier and be done by then? Tks.

Depends when you are leaving and your point of departure - many pilgrims want to get to Santiago for the Feast of St James others don't want to rush. It is up to you!
