Hi everyone,
I am new here and hope you can help me. I am hoping to complete the final stage of Camino Frances the end of March 2022 from Sarria to Santiago. I land in Santiago on March 27th which is a Sunday and I am finding it tricky getting transport from the airport to Sarria- can anyone advise on this and also is anyone else doing that stage then?
Thanks so much

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
There is a train that leaves at 10:20 am for Madrid where you can change at Ourense for the Sarria line.

You haven't said what time you get into Santiago de Compostela and so I don't know if this will suit you.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Thank you, my flight gets in at 4.10pm

There is a similar train(s) that changes at Ourense that leaves Santiago de Compostela at 20:20 (8:20 pm) and arrives at Sarria station at 23:00 (11:00 pm) but if you catch this then you will need to have prebooked a bed in Sarria and warned them that you will be checking in late.

I stayed at a nice place close to Sarria station and so there are places to stay that are within walking distance of the station but, depending on where you have come from that day (Ireland?) you will probably be tired and so it may pay to get a taxi from the station to your lodging.

Thanks so much Doughnut Nz, I had one more question, can you pick up the pilgrim passport there or is it best to get one before you arrive?

You van order one from the Irish camino group here "Shop - Camino Society Ireland"

Or from Ivar's shop on this website.

Have it before you arrive, on less issue to deal with....

I am sure that you could pick up a Pilgrim Passport somewhere in Sarria, probably the cathedral or the tourist information office but I would do what @donalomahony suggests and prepurchase one.

A selection of Camino Jewellery
No advice, but we may see one another along the Way. If you see a middle aged woman with a small bright blue and gray pack (and an orange poncho in poor weather), please flag me down to say hi!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Doughnut Nz, should I prebook a taxi or would one be easily booked when I arrive, thank you for your advice
