Camino Frances
Hi! My name is Ruben Magana and I am from California. I will be walking the Camino Frances starting June 2 from Saint Jean Pied de Port. My plan also includes walking to Finisterre from Santiago de Compostela and walking back to Santiago de Compostela where I will spend a couple of days before flying home from Madrid on July 20. This will be my first Camino.

Buen Camino from a fellow Californian pilgrim! You’ll be amazed at how similar the geography feels to the Central Valley - like California without all the people 😂

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

My plan is to walk between 20 and 25 kilometers each day which will include a few rest days whenever I feel really tired. I love walking and being outdoors, but I definitely don’t want to over do it.

Hi Ruben,
If you are planning to walk back to SDC from Fisterra, and you have a spare day, I highly recommend you walk via Muxia. It's a beautiful place. There is also another 0km marker there. Buen Camino. 🚶‍♂️

Welcome to the forum!

If you haven't already done so, you are welcome to click here and then on the appropriate thread, to add your name to a list of pilgrims starting around the same time.

What a fabulous recommendation, JMac56! I do have a couple extra days so I have modified my Camino plans to now include walking to Muxia from Santiago. I will spend one night in Muxia then walk to Finisterra. I will spend one day there and then walk back to Santiago. I am so happy that walking to Muxia will be part of my Camino. Thanks!
