Camino Inglés (2015)
My sister and I (she from San Diego CA and me from England) will be meeting up in late August to walk the Camino Inglés from Ferrol. We are a couple of sixty-something ladies, so we will be looking to split the stage into Bruma into 2 days. At this point we are working hard to brush up our Spanish, Gallego being just a step too far. Buen camino to all of you preceding us on the way.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Jo, all the best for your pilgrimage with your sister. I suspect that you won't have done much regular serious walking together. If you find your individual paces and endurances mismatched, it is always possible for one to forge ahead or fall behind. Arrange where you will meet up again and let each other walk at their own pace from time to time.

The Camino Ingles is a lovely route Jo. Look at the Ingles Forum. There are many threads there giving you a lot of advice as to how to split the walk as 5 , 6, 7 or 8 days along with lots of accommodation notes. That forum is perhaps the best place to ask Ingles specific questions and the Miscellaneous the best for more general ones such as equipment and training. Buen Camino

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Good thought, Doug, thanks for pointing it out and 'giving permission' as it were.

Hi Jo! Welcome to the forum!
I walked both legs of the Ingles last year - all details and a diary are on my web site.
O Meson Novo is a great stop over, but I would advise paying cash for EACH purchase as you make it - not running up a bill.
You're in for a super time!
Buen camino!

We walk each at our own speed up the hills and meet either when the lead walker stops for a breather or at the top. On the level we are fairly evenly matched. Our first Camino Inglés we took 9 days stopping at all the places mentioned in the guide, rather than the 5 day stages. We also made use of the booking and pick up offered by Meson Novo in Meson do Vento to break the really long stage from Betanzos. We will walk again this year, before you do, and plan to take 9 days again, plus a stop over in Betanzos to see more of the town, and a stop in Ordés breaking the Meson do Vento to Sigueiro stage because we want to see Ordés itself. We could probably walk it in less days but want time to look around so are keeping the stages really short. Have a great Camino.

Hi. I'm in St Jean on August 3oth, with my Camino starting on September 1st. Hope to see you all along the way :)

We will all be on the Camino Inglés - but Buen Camino on the Francés :)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
