Hi, my name is Terri and I am planning to walk the Camio Ingles in September. I shall arrive in Siguiero on a Sunday. Does anyone know whether there are any food shops open there on a Sunday, to save me carrying food all the way from Bruma for two days?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Siguiero is probably a larger town than you imagine so I don't imagine you will struggle to find supplies!

Hi, Terri,
There will surely be something opened. If not supermercado (I remember two, Familia and Vedo/Vega?) then a small "chino" store or fruteria. Locals will know. Anyway some restaurants will be opened.
There isn't a shop in Bruma but there is one 1km away (off the Camino) in Meson do Vento! The last one strictly on the Camino before Bruma would be in Betanzos if I remember correctly.

Buen Camino!

Hi David and KinkyOne,

Many thanks for your replies. Since posting I have done some more research and found a shop called A Despensa de Sonia on Xuncal, which is open Sundays from 0900 to 1500, so all is well!
Buen Camino!

That's good. It's actually almost on the Camino if I remember correctly. After the municipal swimming pool you'll come to the town hall on your left and a bar on the right. And the store is in the street on the right just after bar.

Hi KinkyOne
Many thanks for the information. Can't wait for September to come!
Terri.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
