Thank you! I very much enjoyed "Waybread" and I'm looking forward to reading more from Laurie. Way back in another century long before Youtube or the Blessed JB came along almost everything that I learned about the Camino before I walked it myself came from just two women: listening to my mother-in-law Barbara's accounts of walking from SJPDP with an eclectic international group in 1985, and reading Laurie's own pilgrimage story in "A Hug for the Apostle". By an odd coincidence both of them from Toronto.

Thanks for this and I will definitely check out. I had mentioned it a while ago about a really informative and interesting podcast called “The Scholarly Pilgim”. It is hosted by a Hostorian and Professor of Medieval History. It traces the history of pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago from its inception. It looks at so many different events, people, politics, history, culture and the pilgrims and peoples of Spain and other countries during this time. There is a wealth of information. His delivery is not the most exciting, but he is a historian and not a personality. Check it out. I think you may enjoy it.
