Camino Mozarabe

Pauline Peel

New Member
Hi - my name is Pauline Peel and my husband and I are planning to walk the Camino Mozarabe from Granada to Merida in late May/early June. We are currently living in Adelaide but are relocating back to Brisbane in mid April so will fly to Madrid from there. Thank you for this blog - I have found it very useful in planning our walk. We have previously walked some of the Camino de Santiago and very much enjoyed the experience,
However, I am having great difficulty sourcing a guide for the walk. Does anyone either have a suggestion for where I might try. Alison's highly recommended guide book is out of stock in many of the places I have tried.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Pauline,

Because you are in Adelaide I am wondering if you have read the posts from Wombat ( Kevin) from Adelaide. He walked Grandada to Santiago last September. You will find his posts on the Camino Mozarabe section, so I am sure you could PM Kevin and he will tell you what he used. There is a guide available from the CSJ bookshop, but it is 2009. There doesn't seem to be any perfect guide in English. I hope to walk this route in September.

Good luck with all your planning.
Sandra.

Hi, Pauline,

Bjorts and Wombat are two forum members who have posted about their walks on the Camino Mozarabe. You should take a list at all the posts under that specific section: camino-mozarabe/ Though there aren't too many, I think you'll find a lot of information.

Also, take a look at this blog -- http://www.constanttrek.com/index.php/diary This pilgrim is in Merida now, but she started before Granada, and her earlier posts will also be helpful.

Buen camino, Laurie
