Korea stands out as the unusual one there but have to say I did walk along with a Korean and a Japanese on the Camino Frances a few months ago. Seems to be something on a "to do" list over there.

No ,South Korea is not the odd one out.
S. Korea has of all the Asian countries the most Christians. And the country is in the top five list of the largest amount of Catholic Saints worldwide.
Throw in this mix a South Korean journo who reported on the Camino and made it popular in S Korea.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
