I know it’s a long way from Santiago, but if you live in California or nearby or come to visit, you won’t want to miss the varied terrain of the California Coastal Trails and check into the International Hostels for training for your Camino. Or to marvel at the magnificent California coast and even experience a little nostalgia if you’ve celebrated in Finisterre and Muxia. Links to maps, trails, hostels, state parks and beaches and photos will help you prepare for a memorable journey or just appreciate the natural beauty of our oceans and seashores. You can subscribe to my blog for more Walking and Camino posts and check the archives for past Camino entries. Thanks for walking with me. Buen Camino, Irene

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Thanks so much. I'm in southern Oregon, and this sounds like something I'd like to do!

Thanks, @trecile. I knew you and a few other pilgrims live on this coast. It is spectacular. I’ve also hiked and biked on Oregon and Washington coasts and they are equally wonderful. It’s all worth a long visit and you’re so close. Buen Camino, Irene
