Well that happy day has finally arrived where I set off for Porto tomorrow and my first day of walking will be Friday April 7th.
My wife and I are taking the traditional cental route as per the Brierley guide. So far the long range weather looks pretty good for early April.
After reaching Santiago, we will be walking to Muxia and Finistere as well
I'll try to post a few updates along the way

Hi, zrexer,
I don't mean to sound pedantic here, but you will be walking the "Central" route and not the "Interior" route. This is tremendously confusing and lots of people think the same thing as you did.

The Caminho Portugues Interior is a totally different route. It starts in Viseu in northeastern Portugal, goes up to Chaves and the Spanish border, crosses over to Verín in Spain and from there connects with the Camino Sanabrés into Ourense and on into Santiago. So, this is a long tiresome way of saying that I'm moving your thread to the general Portuguese Camino section!

Wishing you a wonderful walk, would love to hear how it goes for you. Bom caminho, Laurie

'Fixed my post'...I guess as long as I know where I am going is the main thing!

That clarification was helpful for me thank you- though I think that the names 'Central' and 'Interior' seem so interchangeable that confusion is likely to continue.
