My mate, Ian and I will be starting on May 1st. We came from HK. This is the first time for us and we have been using this forum for all our research work. Really appreciate all the great comments & advice posted. This is an amazing community! Hope we will have some to contribute once we started the walk.

I'm using this walk to raise fund for Room To Read (http://www.roomtoread.org/), a charity organization which focuses on helping children in developing countries to gain literacy. To find out more about my project, please visit: https://give.everydayhero.com/au/eddie-chee-1

Looking forward to meeting pilgrims from other countries!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Great stuff!! I am also starting on the 1st at shpp - have been looking forward to getting to know people starting then too. How much time are you giving yourselves? I must be in santiago by end may. Regds Hans

Hans,
We are taking things easy (also I'm a slow walker), and prepared to change plan to suit our mood/conditions. For planning purposes, we shoot for June 8. We may have the first week or two oveapping. We would certainly love to start our first day with you together & see how it goes!
Cheers
Eddie

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thats great eddie - i have begun to think if one teams up with someone for more than half a day at a time that will be a lot, because everyone has different expectations in terms of pace and where they would like to end up in the evening!! All the best Hans

Hello, Eddie and Ian,

Admirable and important cause. I am also leaving SJPP on May 1 and this is my first Camino. I am taking this on alone, by design. Hope to meet you sometime along the way.

Cheri,
This is our first Camino too! I'm sure we'll meet each other somewhere along the way!
Have a safe flight the SJPP!
