Camino Frances 2008, Le Puy route (TBC)
Bonjour,

My next camino (Le Puy) is scheduled for May/June 2013. I'm walking in memory of my late father who passed away from lung cancer last year. I'm curious to know whether I'm allowed to promote the charity and my fundraising page closer to the date? In moderation of course!

I would appreciate some guidance as I don't want to step on anyone's toes. This forum is a wealth of knowledge and support for which I am truly grateful for.

Many thanks,
Sonia

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Hola Sonia

I can't think of a more noble cause for your Camino. F rom to time others have advertised their activities to raise money for charity and no one has objected. I'm sure the mods will advise if there is a problem.

Buen camino

Hi Sonia,

What if you make one post where you present your walk and your charity, then you could add a link to your charity in the signature. The link in the signature will show up under all posts you have made/will be making in the future.

You can do so here:
ucp.php?i=profile&mode=signature
(If you have questions on how to set up the links, let me know)

So the rule is: One post that introduce the product/charity/... and then a link in the signature.

Does this make sense? :)

Greetings from Santiago,
Ivar

Hi Ivar,

Yes, I understand the terms. Thank you very much for allowing me to share my fundraising page with the rest of the forum. I'll be posting closer to my walk.

Any suggestions on where I should post it? I'd like to reach as many people as I can.

Thanks guys!
Sonia

Maybe there should be ONE MORE SECTION where people can post anything having to do with promoting a business or walk or ???

I think you can post it in the Camino that you are going to walk... then later on, if we get a lot of these we can create a new section.

Buen Camino!
