Getting ready for post-coronavirus:
(I think this is just down the hill and across the tracks from our place!--the second sign location mentioned in the story. I have a feeling the waste bin and bench are new, or moved from elsewhere, as well. Don't remember these from our last visit.)
Translation of story:
"The work on placing the information signs for the Camino de Santiago in the municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha, was completed on April 1, announced the Municipality. The work started in August 2019 with the application of directional signs and ended with the assembly of larger panels, with maps and descriptive and tourist information of the route.
"The new structures are implemented in Pedregoso, next to the border with the municipality of Golegã [south end of route through our municipality], at the intersection of Rua Salgueiro Maia (EN3) with Rua da Cardiga [illustrated above; just south of the railway tracks, I believe], Vila Nova da Barquinha, as well as next to the EDP Transformation Post where Vhils developed the his artistic work in honor of potters, at Rua Paulino José Correia, Atalaia {part of the municipality's mural project}.

"The Camino de Santiago section that crosses the municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha starts at Pedregoso and ends at the Tancos river, next to the Ecocentro [solid waste site], at the northern limit of the municipality, in the parish of Atalaia.
"The intervention was developed within the scope of the “Integrated Tourist Products” project, in partnership with the Inter-municipal Community of Médio Tejo. The initiative results from the protocol signed between Turismo Centro de Portugal and the Association of Pilgrims Via Lusitana, which aims to place signs on the entire section of the Camino de Santiago that crosses the Centro region."
