Christmas presents

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
A selection of Camino Jewellery
And he has posted them already! Thanks Mr Santiago.
PS these "presents" are for others to give me, thus solving the eternal "What do you give a man who has everything?" conundrum. Small, cheap and wanted - the ideal present? Of course I could think of other, more expensive ones if any of you care to buy me one as well, as list of possibilities is below:-
Flight tickets
Nights in a Parador
A porter to carry my bag
A butler to do my laundry and make my afternoon cream tea
I would be happy to accept any of these. Maybe Ivar should add them to the shop to make their acquisition more convenient for you?
:):):) Maybe I am being too much of an optimist here? :):):)

This gorgeous boy should be in everyone's Christmas stocking ... you can buy him from the Cathedral Bookshop in Santiago ... the one just up the street from the Pilgrim Office ...

Ivar - how about a joint venture with the Cathedral ... what about getting in a supply of Pilgrim Ducks for all us Forum members to order online!

Cheers!

Such a lovely post Al.....I am sitting here smiling away to myself.....Camino hugs.

Didn't you get your bag down to 2kg or something ridiculous Al? I'd be more than happy to carry it for you- I was disappointed out paths didn't cross in the spring!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Taking it for a test 20K today. I was sorry that I missed you as well. Anything planned in Spain this year?
Spain is done for this year! Next year's big challenge is the Oxfam Trailwalker (100km in one go - quite different to a pilgrimage). Then I have my sights set on doing New Zealand's Great Walks, the Arctic Circle Trail in Greenland, the GR10, maybe the E2 - perhaps even the Iron Curtain Trail (even though it's primarily set up for cyclists), Lycian Way and St Paul's Trails in Turkey.....and hubby is keen on Machu Picchu.....and one of the kids has talked about Base Camp on Everest.....then there's Mt Kilimanjaro combined with a trip to visit our sponsored kids in Africa......

Perhaps a Christmas present from me to my two grandchildren, aged 11 and 14, could be a camino for at least a couple of weeks, but would they join me??

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Hello all. Here to give a brief account of my (and many others) first day on the Camino on May 1. The trip to Roncesvalles was tough. I went Valcarlos route because napoleon was very ill advised...
Or do you prefer Cromwell's attitude? Put your trust in God and keep your powder dry. I am starting to get tired of the attitude that it isn't necessary to take reasonable care and thought...
I struggle with social anxiety and I was wandering if anybody with the same issue had a positive experience on the Camino walking alone. I saw lots of posts and videos people talking about forming...
I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Money stolen from bag on bed while sleeping. Estelle municipal hostel. Not a big inconvenience as my passport and credit cards were left.
