Coruna to LAX, Delta /AF with bike?

Is the commuter connection plane from Coruna too small to handle a bike?
If so I guess the nearest large airport is Madrid?

What are the approx dimensions of the bike (in its carton)? In inches or milimetres? This will determine the ability of the plane to Coruna to handle it. One other question - is this a flight from Madrid or other major airport? I think Iberia use reasonable size jets (B737/717/A320/319) and then its a question of weight and whether it will fit through the cargo hold door space. It it does not fit, then its the train and you will need to check RENFE well in advance about which trains have larger cargo spaces. I know that the AVE and Media Distance trains are not designed to carry bikes (in cartons or assembled). Hope this helps.
