Time of past OR future Camino
I am planning to walk the camino in the month of October 2014. Was wondering if anyone else is looking at doing it around that time
my daughter and I are walking the Camino starting from Porto on the 5th January.
We are just wondering what the average cost of accommodation along the walk as well as daily costs

Depends what type of accomodation you want to use, and your budget.

private rooms, hotels, communal dorms?
how much per bed do you want to spend? Under 20, under 30, under 40?

if you can provide a bit more information I’m sure those that have walked that route recently will jump in with advice,

My daughter is coming from London and I’m coming from NZ. She was just asking about how much things cost. Along the St Frances Camino I stayed in mainly communal dorms with the occasional private room.
I’m thinking around€30 per night but have no real idea as to what accommodation costs nowadays.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
You got some pretty good answers back in March: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/costing.79479/ I don't think much will have changed.

Yesterday I posted this in another thread where someone is asking a very similar question to yours:

Earlier this year I kept a record of my costs walking from Tui, not something I worry too much about doing normally. I posted my observations here.

I just walked it this past July/August with a friend and we averaged 40€ each a day with upgrades to a private room w/ or w/o bath and a real budget stretcher of 73€ in Barcelos didnt keep track of food and drink but my best guess would be 20-25 a day eating and drinking VERY well .YMMV
