Edinburgh to Leon

I'd like to walk The Camino in July next year. I'm an Aussie with a wedding to attend in Edinburgh. After posting the heels back my backpack will be ready for the Camino. I just need to know how to get to Leon. Can anyone help? Thank you so much in advance!

Ryanair dont fly to Leon from Edinburgh but they do fly to Santandar then the train or bus to Leon and for the 22end of July the fare is 45 GBP

Leon is best accessed by bus or train; it is poorly connected by air. EasyJet goes from Edinburgh to Madrid. Renfe trains Madrid to Leon vary from 2.5 to 4.5 hours but service is frequent. Alsa operates buses direct from T4 Barajas airport (MAD) to Leon that take about 5 hours.
