Emergency Numbers for all Camino Routes

Time of past OR future Camino
2006 to date: Over 21 Caminos. See signature line
I received some Credentials today from American Pilgrims on the Camino and with them was a little card with this important information on it:

IMPORTANT NUMBERS:

The Camino is generally a very safe place for pilgrims. However, accidents and emergencies happen. Please put these numbers into your phone or notebook. Before calling, try to identify your location from a guidebook or by asking others.

112 - this is like 911 in the USA and is a GENERAL EMERGENCY number. They answer even if you have no credit on your phone. Request clearly and slowly if you need an operator who speaks English.

062 - The Guardia Civil

091 - National Police

061 - Health Emergencies

To file a police report (34)902-102-112 This is an English language telephone number for victims of crimes to make a police report. It operates from 8 am to 12 midnight daily.

American Embassy in Spain (34)91-587-2200

Numbers are current as of January 2018

Great info - but the only number you really have to memorize in Europe is 112 from there you will be re-directed (if necessary) to the emergency service you need and they do speak English.

Safe Camino, SY

I suspect that this is also posted elsewhere, but +34 616 043 109 is the Navarre emergency whatsapp number. You can use whatsapp to send your location in case of emergency, which is what we had to do for a fellow traveller who twisted her ankle

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
