Hi all,

We've just been alerted to an error in the second printing of the Northern Caminos guidebook. The price of the Miraz albergue was mistakenly changed from donativo (correct) in the first printing to 8 euros (incorrect) in the second. The fault is ours. We apologize to all with the CSJ for the mistake.

While we're at it... if you find any errors/problems in the book, please help us (and others) out by sharing them along. We hope, of course, that there aren't many, but we're grateful for the feedback.

Thanks,
Dave

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

When I stayed there in 2013 we were told that it was donativo, but the suggested minimum donation was eight euro, as this was what it cost to accommodate each pilgrim. It was well worth this. There seems to a difference in how people see "donativo", to some it means "free" while others leave a realistic donation. The alberge cannot run totally for free, hence the idea of a minimum donation.

On a similar note, the alberge at Guemes is donativo, but we were told we were expected to leave something in the donation box. At a talk before the evening meal, it was made clear that this should be at least 15 euro.
