Glad to hear no one was killed. Last time I went to Spain, the authorities foiled a car bomb plot in Logrono a day or two before I arrived. Had the bomb gone off, part of the Camino would have been severely damaged. IIRC, it was close to the Hotel Murrieta, where you have to cross a street after leaving the old part of town. I remember seeing lots of police tape in that area & police presence, as well as wanted posters in the albergues.
