Etapas - maps?

We've walked the CF and are beginning the VDLP on 27 April. When we were on the CF, we always ran across people who had the most wonderfully detailed and well-explained etapas - on separate sheets, with explanations (well, truth to be told, they carried them in little clear packages around their necks for easy access!!!). Now I thought we had pretty good maps and explanations of the (suggested) etapas, but these were really, really good.

I have lots of information to guide us (mostly from this GREAT site!), but I still remember those wonderful "etapas sheets" that helped all of us along. Coming from NA we didn't have the access to that resource, so I would like to access that as much as possible.

Is there anyone who is familiar with this aid, or who has used it, or can put me in touch with someone who has used it and/or help us with access for our use? Specifically, etapas maps for the VDLP.

Thanks again for your consideration, and buen camino for those of you who are embarking this year....hope to meet up with you along the way!

Maps of the Via de La Plata

I know the maps you mean but haven't seen them for the Via de la Plata. You could try the Friends of Santiago Association who compiled and published a wonderful Silver Way guide full of practical information, photographs, maps, etc. The guide may be obtained, free of charge directly from the Seville Friends - web site at:
http://www.viaplata.org
You can request the guide and/or credential by sending them an "emilio" to Sevilla@viaplata.org

The Association's address is:
ASOCIACION DE AMIGOS DE SANTIAGO EN SEVILLA,
Calle Real de la Carreteria 25, atico,
Sevilla, Spain.
Winter office 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. the rest of the year; the Telephone number is 954-21-80-80.
They will also mail a credential, free of charge:
Send them your name and address, age, purpose of the pilgrimage, whether you will walk, go by bicycle or use other means and, the date and place where you'll start your pilgrimage.
These materials can also be writing to:
Maria Jesus Vegas Garcia y Bias
Calle Paraiso, 27
41940 Tomares, Sevilla
They may also be obtained personally in Seville by going to the Cathedral. The rectory is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The credential can be obtained, and stamped, there, as well as the Association's wonderful new guide.

http://amigoscaminosantiagodegranada.iespana.es/ http://www.caminofonseca.com/ information on the route from Salamanca
http://www.csj.org.uk/route-via-de-la-plata.htm - Alison Raju has a guide book as well

I walked to Salamanca from Sevilla from 2 January and I simply used the Alison Raju guide having previously estimated the stages I wanted to walk from http://www.godesalco.com. If you are staying in Albergues it is well worth checking the updates on both the CSJ website and Pila Pila Press. It was very well waymarked and I had no problems finding accomodation even so early in the year. The Amigos in Sevilla are very helpful.

In terms of the other topic on this route: I would definitely walk it again in Spring as I think it would have a completely different personality.

Buen Camino

http://www.mundicamino.com has maps and elevations for every stage of the VDLP. There's an English version, and from there just click on 'Silver Route', then just select 'Line/Outline' from the left hand menu. Click on the printer icon for a printable version.

Thanks for the links. I've visited them and found good information.
