Feast Day of St James

I did try to find a similar thread... the 25th is the date dedicated to the personage who is credited with the origins of this whole story.
Well, upon his neck many threads are strung. (Did he still have a neck after the beheading?)
Dear other people on the forum: pilgrims, hikers, walkers, describe yourselves as you wish, over these coming days, many people will be honouring the memory of San Tiago, Saint James. Others on this forum will be giving thanks for the life of John Brierley.
Let's just have a moment's silent time, being grateful.

I have an appalling memory for dates. I have often forgotten my wife's birthday and even my own. But there are definite advantages in having our wedding anniversary on 25 July!

For those fortunate to be in Santiago de Compostela this week and next, these are the events at the Catedral honouring St. James.

On the actual feast day, pilgrims mass will be at 13h, 16h, 17h, 18h, 19:30h.

There will also be fireworks on the eve of the feast day.
