Hi everyone,

First Camino and I'm so excited!!! My flights are booked!! :)

I'm arriving at Biarritz on September 10th and stay there for the night. I take the train the next morning and I booked the Gite Ultreia for the night to spend some times in SJPDP during the day. I officially start my trip on September 12th but it will be a short day because I booked a bed at Orisson. After that day no more booking! I am glad that I found this wonderful website. There are so many inspiring stories and very good advice.

Buen Camino!

Hi, Alain....
I'll be arriving the next day, so perhaps we'll see each other there. :)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Alain, I'm one day behind you. Spending a night also at Orisson. I'm in no hurry and will be taking my time. Hope to meet you along the WAY.

Buen camino.

I think it's a good idea to take our time... At the first, I wanted to take the last train on Sunday night to go to SJPDP and start right away the next morning. I decided to take the day off (Monday)… I think that it is better this way :) Hope to see you on the way!

Buen camino.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

That's a good idea. The fatigue of travel and jet-lag can make a long walk even more tiring and less enjoyable. Best to be fully rested, fed, and hydrated as you start walking. :)

I can appreciate how excited you are. Our first camino is such an incredible experience and staying in Orisson is a great thing to do. Enjoy every moment!

Hi Alain,

I'll be walking on the 26th September - you'll have to keep in touch and let me know your experiences of the parts you've done that I'll be about to do!

:)
Hi Danielle92,

I'll keep you informed of my experiences during my journey for sure :)
Buen Camino!

I went same time last year .... I had brilliant weather ....
surprisingly I met a Canadian Mounty as I climbed the Pyrenees from Valcarlos who it turned out is a forum member ....

Best advice .... don't have any expectations .... BE in each moment whatever it brings ....

It can be hot in September still so be prepared .

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
It's getting close and I am also excited and ready. I'm one day behind you, Alain. I have been training a lot in the hot weather of my home state of Virginia USA. Hopefully, I'm prepared for what is in front of me. Thanks Ultreia for the advice.

All this talk of departure dates....:) I just realized that I'm wheels up in 21 days. Wow! It just seemed like it was 365 days not so long ago.

Enjoy it and take the time to smell the flowers!

I can relate to that 365 now, as it's only next year for me.;) It's ok, as anticipation is also part of the process!:)

Yes I know!! I trained a little but not as I would liked. I'm in a good physical shape so it should go well! I hope we'll meet on the way!
Buen Camino :)
