Very excited! Was going to wait till next spring but decided not to wait so starting mid September.
Montana Girl,
It is a pleasure to learn of your happy news; welcome to the Forum.
Autumn is a great time to walk with golden sunshine and milder temperature.
Carpe diem and Buen camino.

Hi, and welcome - exciting!! Montana? You won't have any problems with the little mountains on Camino then! Though as Montana seems to have only 6 people per sq mile the refugios might be a bit unnerving 😂 .
How long do you have and where will you start?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Hello Montana girl! I am not a big fan of waiting. If the time money and energy are with you then it's time to go. There probably is never a perfect time to do anything. I hope this is the treck of a lifetime for you. I'm going again next year rain or shine. Buen camino

Montana girl - my brother and his wife live in Billings. They walked the 500 mile camino frances with my wife and me in 2017. No issues and we had a great experience together.

Seasky, my wife and I also leave St Jean Sept 17, so may bump into you long the trail. We try to get an early start (7 am, still dark) and will be hiking the Napoleon route this time. This is our 4th CF. The last two times we hiked the Val Carlos Route.

From what I've read more people walked the Camino in 2019 than we have in our largest 'metropolis'. We like it that way, although we are getting an influx. I start September 14 and have given myself 6 weeks. I want to absorb every view.

Wonderful! I'm up in the Flathead Valley and grew up in Billings. I leave SJPDP September 14, taking the Napoleon route. May see you out there 🚶‍♀️

We are a group of 3 from Seattle, WA (USA) that are beginning our camino the last week of September. Any idea what the weather will be like on the Camino Frances during late Sept and early October? We are trying to pack as light as possible but would like to avoid being frio!

I am from Oregon but now I live in northern Portugal. Summer before last was just like this summer, and it rained every day in October and November. Past history is no guarantee of future performance….
I plan to start from SJPdP sometime between the 15th and the end of September. Buen Camino ou bom caminho em português.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Our fourth. We leave St Jean the 17th. Watching the weather closely. Looks like rain over the next week or so. We’ll consult the pilgrim’s office. If it looks like rain, we’ll take the Valcarlos route. Bob
