Hello! I want to thank everyone for this fabulous resource! I started reading and learning so much from this forum since January. Thanks to you I have made reservations up to and including Pamplona. If you think I should go beyond Pamplona please let me know.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Welcome to the forum, @Betty E . 😊

The conventional wisdom these days seems to be reserve the first few nights if leaving from either St. Jean or Roncesvilles, then reassess after that, based on crowds (or lack of them), how late or early you want to stop, whether there are people you'd like to continue walking with and what plans they may have, and so forth. After the first few nights you should be getting a good idea what works for you.

So, long answer short -- you should be good to go! After Pamplona everyone seems to disperse along the trail as people hit their stride. Buen Camino!

Buen Camino!
You should be good until after Leon. Then you'll begin picking up day-packers and some tours. Start reserving as you approach Sarria and beyond though. There it gets to be "a bit of a circus" as an Australian friend advised me.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
