First Camino in August

Hi,I am a new old pilgrim.I have always wanted to walk the Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela and have finally made the decision.I joined the CSJ two weeks ago attended the Glasgow meeting last week,purchased new boots and rucksack.I will be in SJPDP on the 24/25th August this year booked out with no return date,read lots of advice on the forum just loved,sillydoll,johnnie walker and BrDavid among many.My bag will not weigh more than 7 Kgs and God willing I will celebrate my sixty third birthday on the Camino.

Welcome to the forum.
Never to old to be new, that's the spririt. Starting my first, in 2 weeks, and celebrating my 60th year. Already thinking of which route I might tackle next, God willing.

Buen Camino when it comes. Carrying 7 kgs (the limit for weight imho) you are sure giving God a helping hand at ensuring you celebrate your birthday blister and pain free. Enjoy!

And by the way....Glaswegians are role models for Galicians
