Hi everyone - so excited for my first camino after 5+ years of thinking about it! My friend and I will be arriving at Biarritz airport on Sept 5th at 10:40am. Is anyone else arriving at Biarritz airport or Biarritz that day? Would love to meet up in SJPDP!

Watch the threads with the prefix Ride Share, to find people who want to share transport from Biarritz/Bayonne. Or post a thread yourself.

You won't have any trouble identifying other pilgrims when you arrive at the airport (or even when you get on your flight from Paris or whenever) so you can easily make spontaneous arrangements.

I arrive at Biarritz at 1:35 pm on the 5th for my first Camino as well. Will be spending the night in Bayonne and going to SJPP the morning of the 6th. If you are still in SJPP on the 6th, would love to meet up!

I am arriving in Biarritz on 9/5 at 5:15. My plan is to spend the night there.

Purvi, first, believe in yourself and be committed to finishing the Camino. I did the Camino with a spiritual/religious point of view. Assess your backpack for comfort and utility. Don't bring anything that isn't absolutely necessary. Walk 6 to 8 hours PER DAY. Steady pace, pause now and then, be cordial to other pilgrims, Breakfast - not first thing. Wait untill you find a cheap local cafe - coffee and bread. Buy a bota for your water. Smile and greet the Spanish in any Spanish you have. The camino is not a 'bucket list' event. Big meal by 3:00 pm or later.
