Hi Bob hope you have a great Camino, I am leaving on the 1st Sept. do you have an eta when you hope to arrive in Santiago as I am due in around the 17th Oct.

Hi everyone
Hope everything goes well for all of you. I've been thinking about doing this for a long time. My plans for the next few months have been delayed so now the time is right for the Camino! Spent the last hour booking flights etc. Need to buy some shoes! Arriving on 14/9 to St JPP via the flight into Biarittz from Stansted. Feeling excited...

Unless you have my wonderful feet and wonderful shoes/boots that don't have to be broken in and fit like heaven (YMMV) as soon as you have settled on those shoes/boots where them EVERY WAKING HOUR until you are on the trail. Try out sock combos, walk on every conceivable trail/road condition uphill, downhill, wet, dry, dusty, slimy, rocks the size of russet potatoes (downhill side of Alto de Perdon simulation) Employ all the different lacing styles. Get them comfortable now and Buen Camino!!!!!! (p.s. I go by the 1 size larger than normal rule and use SuperFeet insoles)
