Hi I’m Heather and will be starting my Camino de Santiago walk in April. Very excited and nervous in equal amounts at the moment

I endorse most of this, but would add that you should definitely take your headphones, not just to enjoy music while you walk, but when you want to block out other people and the many sounds they make.Heather nothing to be nervous about but lots to be excited for. The Camino is very simple: put one in front of each other. Carry a light load, be prepared for the unexpected, don’t shower in the morning ( your feet will be damp and soft), remember it’s not a race and leave your headphones at home—listen to the wind, birds, cow bells and above all the silence. Enjoy and Buen Camino.
Yes, and sometimes some upbeat music is just what you need when you're in a bit of a slump.I endorse most of this, but would add that you should definitely take your headphones, not just to enjoy music while you walk, but when you want to block out other people and the many sounds they make.
