Time of past OR future Camino
Notre/Primativo Fall 2020
This peregrina hopes to begin her first camino late summer 2021. I'm trying to decide between the CF or combining the San Salvador and Primitivo for a first hike. i might need to flip a coin.🤔

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
For the first camino? Always the Camino Frances! And I sincerely doubt that the recent concerns about crowding will be an issue "after the pandemic". It may also be that the infrastructure will be very different. I'd stay flexible in my thinking. First lesson of being a pilgrim....

I agree. It seems that many people are worried that it will be super busy due to pent up demand, and a holy year to boot, but we are just in the infancy of this pandemic. Nobody really knows anything right now.

My first Camino started in August 2019. I started in St. Jean for the Camino Frances but had some hiccups; I started over in Pamplona and have no regrets. If fortunate enough to walk the CF again, I will start in Pamplona, but that's my own preference.

Welcome, and buen Camino!

I also agree that the Frances has special appeal as a first Camino. That is why I asked about the starting point. It would be nice to get a few days on the Frances at the start and then make a decision - depending on conditions at the time - whether to stay on the Frances or divert on the Salvador.
