Time of past OR future Camino
Fall 2021
Hi I’m Chrystina. I’m 59 & at a crossroads in my life. The Camino has been on my mind for several years, so now’s the time. My son Ben (19) will join me. We will start from St Jean Sept 14. We get into Pamplona on the 13th & will go to the bus station & get a ticket for St Jean for the following day.
I sure appreciate this forum & the wisdom of all those who’ve done this amazing thing!
Thank you!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I'll be in Ponferrada or Villafranca del Bierzo on October 4/5, maybe I see you two? Maybe you pass me? Fingers crossed for you.

Noticed the crossroads in post. Our great national philosopher Yogi Berra said, "when you come to a fork in the road, take it." Sound advice in these times when a nickel ain't worth a dime anymore. :)

Good on you Chrystina it’s a good decision, you’ll enjoy the walk and all that comes with it. At a guess I’d say roughly more than half your fellow pilgrims will be there because of a cross-road. You’ll be in good company. Nice thing to go with your lad. I hope to do the same one day with my kids. Buen Camino.
Let us know now and then how you’re travelling.

Hi Chrystina
I walked my first Camino in 2013 for my 60th birthday. I hope you and your son will enjoy your journey. My son James was to walk with me but due to a work problem had to pull out at the last minute. I decided to carry on by myself and he flew to Santiago to meet me at the end and spend a week with me. when I met him at the airport, I said to him I was glad he didn't come with me (but not in a bad way). I explained that walking with him would have changed the dynamic for me as being alone I approached it in a different way. I have since been three more time alone and am hoping to walk the Ingles alone at the end of September. However, I have provisionally arranged to walk Primitivo next year with a friend and for me this brings apprehension.
Buen Camino to you both.
Vince

Hi Chrystina and Bruce, I’m also starting at SJPP on the 14th, Orrison on the 15th. See you on the Way! I’ll be the 60-ish lady with the purple pack!
Awesome! I am planning to do the other (easier) route but Ben will be climbing the mountain! He is very tall, w a green pack!
