Hello and welcome to the Forum and the class of 2011!
First, check the Camino FAQ at the top right of the page...it's a good start.
Then the thread for the Camino Frances...I assume that is your camino.
Another is the SEARCH box to get specific info.
Lastly, if you still have questions ask away. Many here are pleased to answer specifics to help you along the Way.

Welcome.

Falcolm 269, currently on the Camino, says, if you pack it because you might need it, you don't.

Agree with Arn a couple of hours in the FAQ's will richly reward you. Some of our advice is flatly contradictory as walking the Camino is an art as well as a science.

But..

your rucksack should be no more than 10% of your body weight and 8kg max.

It has been said that when setting out you need half the stuff you are carrying and twice the money.

If you can, bring at least 10€ in coins. Remember that there are plenty of ATM's on the Camino. Make sure you have a security belt or pouch for your valuables and carry it with you at all times, even in the showers. Pilgrims are by and large honest but albergues are public places and security can be lax.

John Breirley's or the CSJ guide ot the Camino Francés will help your journey enormously. The CSJ has the advantage that when you get to the bottom of the left hand page you can throw that page away.

You will need one more SIM card for your camera than you are thinking about bringing.

Do NOT forget to pack your nail sissors. You would not believe how versatile they are.
