Hi I am starting The Caminos from Sarria To Santiago. I am doing this on my own am trying to book accomodation. I have flights booked but need some help in trying to book accomadation along the way. First stop is Sarria and am intending in staying in hostels. Can anyone recommend accomadation and if they have a link online :D

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
If cost is no object, this place is fantastic. Rates as low at 45E (53E with breakfast).

Hotel CarrĂs Alfonso IX
Calle del Peregrino, 29
27600 Sarriá, Spain

I suggest booking only one day in advance. Have the hotel/hostal call ahead for you when you have gauged your energy level. There are plenty of private places to stay, so it will be a rare event when you cannot get a reservation on one day notice.

Hi Fiona!

I'd suggest not booking anything. I know it's scary to turn up in a country without knowing where you'll stay, but it will be fine. The one exception is maybe the first night depending what time you arrive. It's nice to have somewhere to aim for especially if you're arriving late in the evening.

Enjoy the freedom of knowing you don't have to be somewhere at a certain date or time. Unless there's somewhere you really want to stay just go along with the people you meet so you can socialise together even if you don't actually sleep in the same place. The other benefit of leaving things open is that you might find someone to share a room with and reduce the cost.

Buen Camino!

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
May I suggest you book a place at the end of your trip in Santiago as well. This may sound rather decadent but the Gran Arguraney in Santiago is a great place to stay. It was a well worth gift to self and family after 500 miles. Five minute walk to the Cathedral. If you go out the front door and turn left a couple of blocks there is a great Italian food restaurant, a grocery store and all sorts of local shopping places. The Cathedral area can be overwhelmingly turista.
