Flooding in Bayonne

There was torrential rain falling along the Nive and Adour Rivers yesterday and the rivers crested at a record high level. The main streets of Bayonne are underwater and the train line to SJPdP is shutdown due to a landslide.

Southwest France is currently experiencing a mild hurricane. Roads are sometimes cut with trees that have cracked under the wind strain and the water. It is not only Bayonne but most of the southern Atlantic coast that is concerned. Depending upon the weather forecasts, tomorrow it’s the same or excellent weather.
