friend for feb/march 2014...?

New Member
firstly, thank you so much for all your info- I have been reading this forum almost hourly for the past few months and feel like I'm well on my way.

I'm planning on heading out from pamplona early march (or possibly late feb) and would love a friend to walk with- or at least someone to start my journey with... I'm just feeling a little anxious to start alone. would love to hear from anyone in the same boat!!

alternatively, I'm assuming if I head to an albergue in pamplona when I first get there, I will meet people or can stay longer and wait til I do??

thanks everyone- not long to go now!

I shared a taxi from the airport to downtown Pamplona with two other pilgrims. We walked together for a day. You will meet others. Do not take your own millstone, though? Camino companions come and go, so never become a burden. Think about it...

Hi rkflynn and welcome. You must indeed be getting excited! I suggest that you look at the Camino Calendar (see bottom of the page) to see if there are other forum members starting around that time.

You will for sure meet pilgrims at the albergue and of course while walking. Everybody is in the same boat and I believe that you will find it easy to make contact. But unless you are planning on staying in a private albergue, you will not be able to stay more than one night.

Happy planning and buen Camino!
