Hi everyone!
I will start the Primitivo way next May 23rd. I will arrive in Asturias Airport on May 22nd at 23:10, from Madrid.
The last Alsa Bus to Oviedo is schedule about 23:20 and I am worried to lose it (until get bag, etc).
The taxi from airport to Oviedo is about 55 euros.
Does anyone know a cheap transport to go to Oviedo in case I lose the last bus?
Thanks for any help!

I am not aware there is any public transport other than the ALSA bus that leaves at 23:20. There are FEVE trains that call close by but they don't run that late either.

The AENA website says the bus might leave as much as 15 minutes late if there is an incoming flight arriving a bit late ... but that's not enough for you to go by.

I don't know what to suggest other than finding accommodations near the airport and resume travel in the morning.

The airport is quite close to Piedras Blancas and Salinas and Aviles, where there is accommodation, and to where a taxi would be much cheaper. As well, there is a hotel at the airport (Hotel Cristal Aeropuerto) which appears to be mid-range in expense. In the morning, wilmosca can just get up, take an early bus into Oviedo, and start walking.--- followup--- I am not sure if the Hotel Cristal Aeropuerto is open-- the website will not indicate any vacancy, and most reviews are 5-6 years old.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Go to booking.com and check "airport shuttle" in the search filter. It seems there are a lot of places that offer a shuttle service from Asturias airport - everything from cheap backpacker's hostels to more luxurious accommodation. You might want to contact the hotels first before booking, to check whether there's a fee, etc. Anyway, it's worth a shot!

Could be a good try Jan, I will contact them. Thanks

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I got the bus from there to Oviedo when I did the Primitivo in 2015, it is really quick between getting off the flight and getting your luggage and the bus stop is right outside (the airport is small) but I think 10 minutes is impossible really (even for the airport to get to the gate and open the doors could take this long. I would try to get an earlier flight from madrid

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

We are arriving in Madrid on May 5th. I went online today to purchase train tickets to Oviedo and it doesn't show any train service. Does that mean the trains are sold out? Or maybe some other...
Hi, has anyone walked the Primitivo in mid-October? What was it like? Weather, tracks and accommodation? I plan to walk from Oviedo to Lugo only, then bus to Santiago after. Thanks for your input.
